Mrs. Linda Behler
Music
Mrs. Behler is happy to be a part of the St. Ignatius faculty after beginning in February, 2005 as a long-term substitute. When she came to St. Ignatius, she was returning to teaching after being a full-time mother for over 8 years. Mrs. Behler is the mother of two adult children and lives in the Leesport area with her family.
Prior to being blessed with children, Mrs. Behler was a vocal music teacher at the Birdsboro Elementary Center in the Daniel Boone Area School District.
She started that position WAY back in 1982 after graduating from Lebanon Valley College and left in 1996 when her daughter was born. In addition to her B.S. in music education, Mrs. Behler has taken many graduate classes in choral music and movement, Orff, Kodaly, musical theatre, technology and East Asian studies at West Chester University, Central Connecticut State University, Villanova University, East Stroudsburg University and the BCIU.
It is Mrs. Behler's hope that her excitement and love for music will inspire students to see themselves as musicians who can glorify God with singing! Mrs. Behler loves all kinds of music, especially "showtunes" and enjoys playing the flute in pit orchestras when the opportunity arises.
