Hi!  My name is Barbara Kresse and I am thrilled to be taking on the Pre-K Director/lead teacher position at

St. Ignatius Loyola this year after working here for 10 years as an Assistant Teacher (one year in 2nd grade and nine years in pre-K).

I earned my bachelor’s degree at Adelphi University in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Education. I went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the State University College at Geneseo, NY. I worked with preschoolers for many years as a Speech Therapist in Long Island, NY before moving to PA with my family and getting my PA teaching certificate. Both of my children graduated from St. Ignatius.

I live in Sinking Spring with my husband, son, daughter, 2 cats, and 1 dog. I love animals, reading, traveling, spending time with my family, and being creative. I am looking forward to a fun school year!
